Jose Borghi is a name to reckon with in the Brazilian Advertising industry and is the man behind the world famous campaign of Mammals Parmalat that was meant to raise awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation. Apart from that, he was the brains behind some other famous and awarded ad campaigns for Millen Lower Ad agency, where he also serves as the CEO.
Jose Borghi was never sure about his career choice in school. One day, he tagged along with his sister to watch a screening of the popular ads that has won Lions Awards at Cannes in the world at a local theater. He was so inspired by the ads that he decided to take up advertising as career. He had little idea that time that he would go on to win many Lions Awards in the next few years. He completed his graduation in marketing at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas in Sao Paulo State. After his graduation, he joined a marketing firm, Standart Ogilvy and some other firms namely DM9/DDB, Leo Burnett, FCB and Talent throughout his career.
Jose was not satisfied working for someone else and wanted to create something of his own. He went on to build an advertising agency with Erh Ray and named it BorghiErh. At that time, they did not have any financial support, and it was only their hard work through which they were able to bring their advertising company to the number one spot in Brazil. Their company was bought by Lowe in 2006 and Erh sold his entire share to the company. The new company was then named Mullen Lowe, and Jose became its CEO.Borghi has been awarded many key Brazilian and international festivals which include 20 Cannes, 15 New York Festival, 7 London Festival, 12 Clios, 11 One Show and 16 Abril Awards which shows his passion for advertising and how he has lifted the standard for Brazilian advertising in front of the entire world.
