Brian Bonar And His Investment In Bellamy’s

Brian Bonar is a financial expert and investor who lives in the San Diego area. He is the Chairman and Chief Investment Officer for Trucept, where he provides other businesses with services that include outsourced human resources, payroll, and employee benefits. These services helps his clients, the owners of small businesses, concentrate on their core activities.

According to Bloomberg, Brian Bonar was educated at James Watt Technical College, where obtained a Mechanical Engineering degree, and at Stafford University where he graduated with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering. He started out his career working for IBM as a Procurement Manager for 16 years, and then took on the role of Director of Engineering for QMS.

Through hard work and dedication he moved into higher management positions, such as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Rastek Corporation, before founding his own company called Bezier Systems. Today, in addition to his role at Trucept, he is the CEO and Chairman of Dalrada Financial Services.

One of Brian favorite investments was when he purchased the restaurant Tango in Escondido, California. Bonar renamed the restaurant to Bellamy’s, and went to work hiring staff. As it happens one of his favorite nearby restaurants, El Bizocho at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, had overhauled their staff and fired many of their best people.

Taking advantage of this, Bonar was able to hire their front-of-the-house man, Trevor Da Costa, as well as hiring El Bizocho chef Mike Reidy as his Executive Chef. The next big break came when he was able to land Master French Chef Patrick Ponsaty. Ponsaty has worked for Michelin Star restaurants, and brought to Bellamy’s over 31 years of experience.

Bellamy’s serves a menu that is a fusion of California Modern mixed with strong French influences. The menu is changed each season in order to take advantage of in season crops. Bellamy’s offers an upscale dining experience to its guests, while also still having a relaxed family atmosphere.

The restaurant has been called one of the best in the San Diego area and has won awards, including the OpenTable Diners’ Choice Winner for 2016.

Brian Bonar is looking to expand, and owns a 144 acre lot in the nearby Ranch at Bandy Canyon. They are turning this property into a event space with an upscale restaurant.

Ponsaty is busy both managing the menu at Bellamy’s and designing the perfect kitchen for this new restaurant. Once completed it is destined to be among the best restaurants in California.
