Legendary video game director Tetsuya Nomura announced there will be major gathering for Kingdom Hearts fans on April 14th. Although this event is specifically for fans of the game Kingdom Hearts Union X, some video game experts believe Mr. Nomura will reveal more juicy info on the hotly anticipated Kingdom Hearts III.
Nomura said this new event will take place in the House of Blues Anaheim at 400 Disney Way. Besides Mr. Nomura, Kingdom Hearts’ producer Hironori Okayama and other major Square Enix developers will be in attendance.
Attendees can expect live performances as well as panel discussions at this first-ever Kingdom Hearts Union X meeting. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased online.
The panel discussions at this event are intended to give fans a better idea of how developers came up with the idea for Kingdom Hearts Union X. Developers will also explain where they see this already hugely successful game headed in the future.
For those who don’t know, Kingdom Hearts Union X is a role-playing game available on the web as well as iOS and Android devices. This game was first made available for free in Japan in 2013. Like the dozens of other titles in the Kingdom Hearts series, Nomura was the head director of Kingdom Hearts Union X.
There are no plans to discuss Kingdom Hearts III at this upcoming event, but fans believe there’s a great chance something big will be revealed in Anaheim. In previous gatherings, Mr. Nomura has let a few interesting tidbits about Kingdom Hearts III game slip in interviews.
Most recently, Mr. Nomura revealed that Kingdom Hearts III will feature Gummi Ship rides like in the first Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. He told reporters about this at the D23 Expo in 2017.
The main thing fans want to know about Kingdom Hearts III, of course, is the release date. According to the latest ad, Kingdom Hearts III will be released sometimes in 2018, but some fans are skeptical. The advert, which was first shown at the D23 Expo, now has well over 5 million views online.
Square Enix announced plans to develop Kingdom Hearts III all the way back in 2013. This new title will be available on both Microsoft’s Xbox One and Sony’s PS4.
